Cinematographer Balabarani speaks about latest technology

After handling the camera for few Tamil and Telugu films, he has recently handled the camera for Maayandi Kudumbhathar and Gorippalayam. He has been appreciatied for this. While speaking about the latest technology, he said,” Everybody can make a film by using Red One camera.

If there is any mistake, it can be corrected immediately. This camera is fully being utilized for making Ad films. In future this camera will occupy the cinema world. There are news that Phantom camera has been used in some Tamil films. These are changing times for cinema. In this change cinema will journey into next stage. The most welcome thing in this era is this digital technology. It has brought the revival of the old 16 mm and 35 mm camera.

We can shoot the whole film in 16 mm camera and using the latest technology called digital intermediate this film can be converted into cinemascope format. The audience who watch this film cannot make out the difference.

The film Subramaniapuram was shot in the similar way. This technology will help us to make a good film at low cost. Digital cinema means cinema without film.
