Shooting takes place in Karunanidhi’s residence at Thirukuvalai

Pen Singam is a film which has the story, screenplay and dialogues by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Udhay Kiran is doing the lead role while Meera Jasmine is the heroine of this film.

Richard, Sudarsana Sen, Vivek, J K Riteesh, Radha Ravi, Raghava Lawrence, Lakshmi Rai, Ramba, Rohini, Y Gee Mahendran and Vaagai Chandrasekaran are starring in this film. Bali Srirangam is directing this film. The final stage of shooting took place at Karunanidhi’s residence in Thirukuvalai.

The shooting also took place in the streets and the school he studied. Some sequences were also shot in the Angala Parameshwari Temple. 500 free dhothis and sarees were distributed to the people after the shooting was completed.
