Kushboo speaks about her foray into politics

Kushboo while speaking to the media said,” There were talks that I will join Congress party. I have never said like that at any point of time. The wrong news was given by media. I am not responsible for this. DMK is the greatest party in Tamil Nadu.

I have always been a great admirer of Kalaignar who labors hard.

I like the welfare policy for the people that this party has. That is why I have joined DMK party. There is a talk that I have joined DMK because I will be getting the post of MLC. I have joined the party without expecting any thing in return. My family is a great support to me. Before joining DMK I discussed this matter with my husband and he agreed to my views. I have joined the party with his full support.

I know that there will be views against me for joining politics. Have I not faced problems for the last five years? How many cases were there against me? I went from place to place. As a single woman I boldly faced it. I struggled and also won it. In future I will also face individual’s comments with boldness.

With regard to me being ousted out of Jackpot programme, I wish to say that I have only conducted the programme. They have every right to remove me from this programme. Now Jaya Lalitha will see me as her enemy since I have joined DMK. No responsibilities have been given to me in the party so far. I will do what the high command says. I will be definitely campaign during the elections.”
