Lakshmi Rai who has danced for a song in the film Pen Singam for which Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Lakshmi Rai while speaking to the media said,” Normally I don’t dance for a single song in films.

I have refused many offers. Even I have refused the offers which have big heroes in the lead roles. The reason for me dancing in this film is because of Chief Minister whom I respect very much has written the screenplay and dialogues.

I danced in the film because I wanted to be a part of his film. In future I will not dance for single song. There is no truth in the news that I have acted glamorously in the film Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam.

I have donned the role of the princess of Cowboy Fort. My role in this film is an amalgamation of comedy and glamour. My height was an advantage to this role. This film will be a turning point in my career.”
