Sathyaraj in a guest role

M Manickam is producing a film titled Vengayam (Onion) under the banner Poovappa Kalai Koodam. New faces Alexander and Bhavina are in the lead roles. Raaghu is handling the camera.

Nityan is composing the music for the lyrics penned by Suba Veerapandian and Kakkan, Sangagiri Raach Kumar is directing this film. Sathyaraj while speaking of this film said,” If you peel the onion thinking there is something in it, there will be nothing.

But there is something hidden in the nothing. Director Raach Kumar has woven this story and directed it. When he approached me I immediately agreed.

I am doing a guest role in this film. My part will be in the song written by Suba Veerapandian and in some scenes. Don’t think this film is propaganda on discrimination and rationality seeing the title. This is a commercial film with a message.”
