Srikanth speaks about Droghi

Srikanth while speaking to the media about the film Droghi said,” I am donning the role of a youth from Royapuram area. We planned to shoot the film there itself. We had a doubt whether it would be feasible to shoot in this busy area.

So the cinematographer Alphonse Roy and I went daily to Royapuram. He also did photo shoot and video shooting. Crowd will start gathering. For three days it happened like that. The fourth day, the crowd stopped coming. The next day we started the shooting. Director Sadha asked me to change my body language and my dialect. This itself was a change for me.

I did not want my color to me a minus point. So I tanned my skin my rubbing oil and sitting in the sun. I never used the caravan or umbrella at the shooting spot. Vishnu is another hero of the film. Poonam Bajwa, Poorna, Pooja and Thyagarajan are also starring in this film. Each one will look like a traitor in one’s eye.

Vishnu and I are good friends who turn into enemies. Though the theme is old, the screenplay is structured in an innovative way. The character I usually do is done by Vishnu in this film. This will be new to him. After a long time Thyagarajan is acting in this film. The scenes featuring him and me have come out well. This film is directed by a woman. How she handled this film is the specialty. I am listening to stories now. Talks are going on regard to me acting in a Telugu film.”
