Where the Tamil innocent audience have no other alternative than to see Thamanna because of the severe dearth of heroines in Tamil cinema has now sigh with a moment of relief, because of the entry of Punjabi white and cute beauty Hansika Motwani.

Hansika while speaking to the media said,” I like Tamil cinema very much from my young age. The reason for my interest on Tamil is because my mother lived in a house of Tamil family. I have also grown up as a Tamil girl. Wait for sometime, the next time I meet you I will speak in Tamil.

I have not seen the film Maapillai which has Rajnikanth and Amala in the lead roles. But I know the story and characters of this film. I am donning the role which Amala did.

The story of Maapillai and my role has been changed to suit today’s trend. It is a big plus for me to pair with Dhanush in my first film. Dhanush is a great actor. I have seen some of the films which Dhanush has acted. They have also remade some of his films in Hindi. As a person he is very sweet and simple person without any pomp. On the whole he is a gentleman.”
