Censor Board deletes the smoking scene

Powrnami Naagam is the film which has Karunaas and Mumaith Khan in the lead role. Director Kannan who has directed this film said,” This film links the epic era with the present era.

Mumaith Khan has donned the role of snake woman. Lots of snakes have been used in most of the scenes. The snakes have not been tortured in any of the scenes. But the Animal Welfare Board has mentioned that we have tortured the snakes and refused to give the no objection certificate. This film was supposed to be released during the school vacations.

But because of this problem the film could not be released. Now the problem has been solved. There is a scene where Mumaith Khan smokes. The Censor Board has refused to permit this scene. They permitted Mumaith Khan to take the cigarette up to her lip only.”
