Tamil cinema world to boycott IIFA

iifaTamil cinema world has announced that it is going to totally boycott the IIFA function to be held in Colombo at Sri Lanka.In this connection South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, Tamil Producers Council, Actors Association, FEFSI, dorectors, distributors, theatre owners, small careen artists have jointly made a statement in this connection.

It says,” It was announced that the International Indian Film Festival is to be held from 4th June to 6th June at Colombo. During the war last year, thousands of Sri Lankan Tamilians were killed mercilessly. We conducted lot of protest meetings for the sake of them.

Even after that Sri Lankan Government did not stop the war. There are lots of people in Sri Lanka loosing the limbs as a memory of the war. In view of the foregoing we request that the festival to be held in Sri Lanka should be cancelled. We also request that the Indian cinema industry should also boycott this festival.”
