Radha Mohan speaks about journey

Director Radha Mohan who directed films Azhagiya Theeye, Ponniyin Selvan , Mozhi and Abhiyum Naanum is now directing a film titled Payanam. While speaking about this film, he said,” This film is being made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.

Prakash Raj is producing the film. Dil Raju, Nagarjuna, Prakash Raj, Poonam Kaur, Sanam Khan, Brahmanandam and M S Bhaskar are in the cast. This film is based on a plane hijack. At the same time the film is not based on the Kandahar plane hijack.

Nagarjuna is donning the role of a commando while Praksh Raj dons the role of a governmental official. Many are asking why I have casted Nagarjuna in the film. This film is not centered on hero or heroine. All of them are characters in the film.

I felt Nagarjuna would suit the role and hence I have casted him. The airport set would be much spoken about. Most of the scenes are shot in the airport and in the plane. So we erected a huge airport set at the Hyderabad Ramoji Rao Film City. We have shot the scenes there. Next we will be shooting on the plane set. Rs 2 ½ Crores was spent to erect this set.”
