Director Selva says Muriyadi is a realistic thriller

Selva while speaking about Muriyadi says,’ Realistic love stories have come. Realistic family stories have come. But so far realistic film has never been made. Three common people get hold of a video clipping on a big wig like the recent Samiar’s video clipping.

This film is a thriller which has no fictions. Sathyaraj is an ordinary person who travels from Utthukuli by train to his work spot. He is a simple person who has a helping nature. We always feel that the whole world should turn around and see us. But we will not turn around and see anyone. But this person in not like that.

He showers his love and affection on everyone. He gets a video clipping evidence. Ganesh Venkatram who had acted in Unnai Pol Oruvan becomes the companion of Sathyaraj. Ramya Nambeesan pairs with him. There is romance but there are no romantic songs. Imman has got a lot of work since this is a thriller film.

When I told the story to Producer K Balachandar, he told me that it is very realistic and encouraged me that I can do it. I reluctantly told him that he should do an important role in this film. He nodded immediately. He has acted excellently. I have directed 25 films so far but this film only gave total satisfaction. This is my best film in my career.”
